Congratulations to Fusion’s First Female Head Coach

Congratulations are in order for Cynthia Laggan, Fusion’s first female head coach on her first win!

The results are in from the Cooper River Dragon Boat Festival, and we have an extra-special milestone to celebrate! Please join us in sending a massive congratulations to Cynthia Laggan on securing her very first official win as the new Fusion Head Coach and Bucks Dragon Boat Director of Coaching!

Stepping into a dual leadership role is no small feat, but Cynthia hit the ground running, bringing her signature focus, strategy, and passion to the team. Watching Fusion lock into that perfect rhythm, execute a flawless race plan, and power across the finish line to take the gold was the perfect showcase of her vision and leadership.

As our Director of Coaching, Cynthia is shaping the athletic direction of our entire club, and if last Saturday was any indication of what’s to come, the future is incredibly bright (and fast!).

Leading a crew to victory in her first official outing sets an incredible tone for the rest of our 2026 season. Cynthia, thank you for your dedication, your expertise, and the incredible energy you pour into all our paddlers. We are so proud to have you at the helm of Fusion and guiding our Bucks coaching staff.
